John Buchwald
CERTIFIED MASSAGE THERAPIST
John has been practicing massage since 2000 and over the years, has had to opportunity to work with a diverse clientele with many different conditions. He has vast experience working in a rehabilitation environment, spending much of the past ten years working at a wellness and fitness center, chiropractor's offices and physical therapy offices. For most of this time, he has also been a full-time student while earning his Bachelor's in Biology, and most recently, his Master's in Public Health. His overarching interest has always been the effects that stress has on our health and the way in which we age. In his experience, he has witnessed three recurring paradigms: 1) That emotional and mental stress can lead to physical pain, 2) likewise, chronic physical pain can lead to emotional and mental stress and 3) that physical, mental and emotional stress tend to lead to a cycle that propagates more stress. Massage therapy uses a holistic approach to help break this cycle at many points in this pattern, simultaneously.
